A Few Football Lights & Some Games Can Transform Your Game Day Party

When it comes to planning an amazing Super Bowl party the food table and drinks are only the beginning; don’t forget to include football lights, decorations, party favors and games to play before the game and during halftime, too! A good party only starts with the game, but from there it is up to the host to make it really something special. The keys to an amazing party are providing refreshments and food, setting a great atmosphere, and providing alternative entertainment for the pre-game and halftime. With a little preparation you can guarantee that your guests will be begging you to host the game again next time, too!

While almost every Super Bowl party incorporates a great selection of food and refreshments to offer the guests, decorations tend to get left by the wayside in the preparation process. This is truly a shame since something as simple as stringing up a line of little football lights across the trim on the wall or around the television and pinning a few pennants from each team on the walls can make a huge difference in the atmosphere of the party. When it comes to football parties it really does not take many decorations to please, just a few accents here and there can make a world of difference.

Don’t forget to plan out some games to play when THE game is not on the TV. Charades is a great game to play with an all ages audience, but tends not to be a great crowd-pleaser in an all adult party. On the other hand, foot-bags goes great for any age group. Simply get some bean bags and mark out a small “football field” in masking tape on the floor, or use the regular bags boxes and attach a small football goal on the back. Take turns tossing the bags to make a field goal and see who wins the most points before the game starts again.
